Urgent Appointment

To request an urgent, on-the-day appointment:

  • Phone us Monday to Friday, from 8:30am
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm

Routine Appointment

48 hr appointments are released on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 2pm each day and Thursday 12noon.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Each patient is allocated a 10 minute appointment with the clinician. Each appointment is for one patient only, not for several family members. Please try to discuss only one problem per appointment.

Reasons for this:
(1) The GP cannot deal with a list of problems properly in 10mins. You are at risk of having something overlooked or not dealt with properly.
(2) Other patients in the waiting room are not being seen at their appointment time and are having to wait for an unacceptable period of time.

We would appreciate your co-operation with this.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

If you need help when we are closed

Call 028 3835 1497 and dial option 1

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs

Private Medical Examinations

Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc., will require longer than a routine appointment.

These examinations do not form part of NHS Services, you will be charged for any such examination. Please check the fee chargeable page here before arranging any such examination. Please inform the receptionist when arranging such appointments.

Home Visits

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. Please do not ask the doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery.

Where the condition of the patient does require a home visit, please advise us before 11.00am on the day the visit is required. Telephone 028 3835 1497.

The receptionist will ask for full details, ie name, address, age, telephone number and reason for visit. The doctor may call you back for more information.

Disabled Access

Wheelchair access to the surgery is available via the main entrance. There are disabled parking spaces in the car park.
